About Riga

Riga, the capital of Latvia, lies a few kilometers from the Gulf of Riga on the banks of the Daugava River.

One of the biggest cities of the Baltic region – Riga – was officially founded in 1201 and now days is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The territory of Riga is 304.05km2, the total number of inhabitants – 698 529.
